Krzysiek Stefanczyk: What would be the best substitute for the Blue Eared Pheasant feather? Some saddle hackle would be ok or too short? Awesome pattern Sir!
Sean Mooney: Beautiful fly! I am going to tie one of these tonight! I'll have to watch again just to write the recipe down. I don't know how I missed this when you did it. I rarely miss one of yours. All the best, and Happy New Year. Sean
Dylan U: Mr . McPhail, yet another piece of art you've made! How much exactly to do sell your flies for? I'm interested in purchasing your top 4 or 5 favorite Steelhead flies! Thank you!
Hannes Napierala: Hello Davie. I enjoy your videos a lot and i tie and fish many of your patterns. This heineken fly is a wonderful pattern which I would like to tie as an intruder with red dumbell eyes... may I ask your advice on two things? First, should I still tie in the JC, or do the dumbell eyes replace it well enough? Second, where do you recommend to position the eyes - in front or behind the hackle? Appreciate your help, Hannes

Richard Armstrong: Hi Davy , cracking fly that everything about it looks right screams fish !
Sir Megallot: you know s@#t is real when you blowdry the fly. A masterful work as always davie, you are one of the reasons I progressed as a fly tyer. be well.
Mike Krall: Did enjoy it, Davie... thanks. The still picture at the end of the video is wonderful.
Alex K: Hello Davie,
Very delicious fly, I think it will work great for salmon on the rivers of the South Coast of Kola Peninsula.
Joe Duca: Hi Davie, I'll take a six pack of those Heineken please! What a beautiful fly! I love the way the bottom stays open, looks like a bait fish, tear drop shape to boot. I wondered why you cut the front of the outer tube at an angle, and is the tube fished with a hook holder at the back, I forget what what they are called? Also, I purchased a beautiful silver fox tail, is there anything I can do to make it easier to use? It's boned out, split, and very clean. I don't know if I should wash it and try to flatten it out like a bucktail and/or cut into medallions. It's hard to hold it open to cut on the skin side, like you would a rabbit pelt. Thanks Davie, you gave excellent instruction on tying the fly, as you always do, always giving a choice in materials and providing the techniques to tye it the best way possible.
Striper Teaser: Hello Davie could you tell me where to buy the tube jig you use many thanks Scott
Stuart Corcoran: You have it down to a fine art keep up the good work Davie
Adam Stafford: Brilliant 😄😄😄 thanks for showing us how you prepared the tube as well. Great video Davie :)
Auke de Ruiter: Great fly, I am sure our Dutchies will nickname it 'Freddy's Fly'! ;)
Dewi Jones: Can the Heineken be tied on a normal hook Davie please? Would you do a video to show this please?
